The rolling hills, the breezes that float across the plains of South Central Texas have drawn people to this quiet place, not a harsh place but rugged and strong in its own right. In the 1800's, the Germans and the Czechs came, planting into the fertile dirt and growing a life in the new land.
Today many of the descendent of those who settled the land are still here, joined by those who came later and discovered the special quality of this place.
"Views from the Ranches" will celebrate the land, the people, the place. The exhibition opens on June 26th from 4 PM to 8 PM. The Summer Antique Fair will be the 26th and 27th at the Red Barn. So come out to Round Top, view the antiques and join us in the evening and enjoy the wonderful art. Many of the artists will be present with which to visit and get the stories behind the paintings.
