I love beads – their color and texture – the endless combinations. For almost ten years I have been inspired by the unlimited varieties of beads I use to create pieces of wearable art. I incorporate semiprecious stones, sterling silver, copper, Swarovski crystals, pearls, glass and other organics and textiles into my work. Most of my pieces are freeform and it’s exciting how the beads come together as I work with them to create jewelry, art dolls and small sculptures. Though some of my pieces are very time intensive, I find the challenge of creating each unique piece very rewarding and therapeutic.
You can find me working in my Houston area studio with my couch pug, Max, who is always by my side. You can also find me teaching basic to advanced beading and jewelry making classes around Texas.
